Peter Davis - Chairman
Peter is an experienced leader and adviser of companies across a range of service industries, both in the public and private sectors. After some years as a partner in Price Waterhouse he held senior executive roles in the retail and insurance industries. In 1993 he became the first Director General of the UK National Lottery, successfully setting up the largest lottery in the world. Peter has been a non-executive director of many companies, including Abbey National, Avis Europe, Equitable Life, Boosey & Hawkes and Provident Financial.James Zorab – Chief Executive
Codel was was launched in 2005 as a subsidiary of The Ascent Group, a technology incubator, which James formed in 1984 as a spin-out from Cardiff University. He is an experienced entrepreneur and manager of SMEs, raising venture capital funds where necessary and inspiring and leading a team of innovators and developers to introduce new technologies across a wide range of sectors.
David Morriss - Strategic Consultant
David is current master of the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists. He was educated at Bancroft's School and the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology where he obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering. Following a period with London Transport he joined IBM as a Systems Engineer. He retired from IBM in 1997 after 31 years service, where he held several senior management appointments including Director of Business Plans, General Manager Software and Services and General Manager, Government Industry for IBM Europe, Middle East and Africa. He was appointed to the board of IBM UK Holdings in 1987.
Matthew Barnett - PR Director
Matthew has worked at a senior level for a number of leading UK PR consultancies on a wide range of blue-chip accounts spanning IT, food and drink, property, professional services, construction and education. A trained journalist and media relations specialist, he has wide ranging contacts across the national and specialist media.
Mark Broughton - Commercial Director
Mark has extensive general management experience at Board level, with a proven track record of successfully promoting change in creative, Intellectual Property based SMEs. He has developed several business brands in international markets, and structured, negotiated and completed a wide range of international Intellectual Property Rights deals. He also has substantial private equity investment experience.
Robert Hill - Technical Director
Bob has over 20 years of IT project management, system and product development experience. He has held leading roles in some major ground breaking projects such as directing the UK Government's first PKI programme and designing one of Italy's first public key smart card solutions. He has a wealth of experience, having worked internationally in the US and across Europe and has been instrumental in some major IT developments involving Microsoft and other large software suppliers.
Martin Warner - Sales Director
Martin has extensive experience of sales and promotion in the print industry, running his own businesses - Shere Arts. At Shere he became an early adopter of variable digital print processes forming a collaboration with IBM to bring Xeikon digital print systems to the market leading the development of database driven variable information and image print processes. He has a proven track record in developing new business relationships with clients in challenging development environments.
Jose Frederick San Roman - Business Development Director
Jose Frederick is an ex-investment banker with 15 years experience in London turned entrepreneur. Started his career with Banco Santander, BZW, JPMorgan and Lehman Brothers structuring all types of M&A and Capital Markets transactions for EU companies. From 2005 Jose Frederick has applied his finance and management skills into a diverse range of industries: from founding an office rental business in Shanghai (Anken Warehouse); to building a plant for cardio machines in Madrid (Cardgirus); to restructuring as CEO the leading 3D animation studio in EU with 140 employees in La Coruña (Dygra Films) to working in the digital and health sectors.
Hugh Cumberland - Business Development Director
Hugh is aseasoned financial services professional with extensive experience in international banking and capital markets with an impressive track record in technology, operations, sales and marketing. He has held a number of CxO roles including CTO (investment banking), CEO (software products & services) and COO (treasury & payments clearing). Hugh's experience spans 35 years of changing technology, of which 27 have been in financial services. His expertise includes Strategic Planning, Business Development, and Product Management & Marketing largely gained working with International andInvestment Banks, Broker/Dealers, Asset Managers and technologyVendors.
