 Codel has developed eWills. It is a product aimed specifically at solicitors and will writers. It is designed to ensure that the version of a will being held and communicated electronically is the latest version and upon signing is unequivocally the “last will and testament” not the second to last!

eWills uses Codel’s core technology to verify that the version of the will being read is up to date and has not been altered in any way. Wills are now created and held electronically therefore amendments and changes are no longer issued as codicils. The changes will be made to the body of the existing file and a new copy printed. This obviates the need to track changes and supply proof by using Codel authentication technology that the will being read is in fact the latest one.
